Privacy policy
Last updated October 2026
This policy explains what Recall collects, why, and how to remove it. It is not a substitute for legal advice: it is a plain description of the app's actual behaviour.
What we collect
- Account identity: your email address, and either a password hash (never your plain-text password) or, if you sign in with Google, the identity Google shares with us for that sign-in.
- Learning history: your answers to multiple choice topic tests and the mock papers you choose to save. This is what lets Recall show your score on each topic and which topics need more work.
On the landing page we count anonymous page use, with no cookies and no IP address stored.
Recall never asks for, runs or stores code you write. It only records which option you picked.
Who else sees it
- Google: if you choose "Continue with Google," your sign-in goes through Google OAuth. We receive your Google account's email and ID, not your Google password.
- Sentry: once error tracking is live, Sentry reports unhandled errors in the app to us so we can find and fix bugs. This covers errors only, not your answers or quiz content.
We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and everything tied to it, including your answer history, at any time from Settings, under "Delete account." This permanently removes your answers, saved mock papers, and account record. It cannot be undone.
